We are looking to appoint individuals to the following roles:
- Sub-panel chair and deputy chair – the closing date for sub-panel chair and deputy chair roles is midday 6 February 2025
- Sub-panel member – the closing date for this role, and all roles listed below, is midday 28 April 2025
- Main panel international expert
- Main panel People, Culture & Environment (PCE) expert
- Main panel user expert
- Main panel interdisciplinary expert
We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply, even if you are not certain that you meet every criterion. We are keen to hear from individuals with varied expertise who can bring unique perspectives to the panels. Experiences beyond academia, including other sectors, policy work, and community-based experience are also highly valued; this includes diverse lived experiences and those with an understanding of diverse research practices, outputs, impacts and engagement practice.
There is one application form to complete that covers all available roles.
This recruitment is for the criteria setting phase and while we expect most panellists will stay on for the assessment phase, there will be a further recruitment round for the assessment phase.

There are two closing dates depending on the role(s) you are applying for:
- for sub-panel chair and deputy chair roles the closing date is midday on Thursday 6 February 2025
- for all other roles, applications close at midday on Monday 28 April 2025
