We are pleased to announce updates on the development of PCE for REF 2029, and associated community engagement opportunities. These are through:
- Participation as a Higher Education Institution (HEI) making submissions to the pilot process. The opportunity is now open for HEIs to express an interest in participating. Learn more about how to apply to participate as an HEI submitting to the PCE Pilot Exercise.
- Participation as a panel member assessing PCE submissions. We will shortly be opening applications for panel members.
- Engagement with the project being delivered by Technopolis and CRAC-Vitae to develop appropriate indicators and processes for the assessment of PCE in the REF. The project team will soon be seeking registrations for a number of online workshops. For further details, please visit the Vitae website’s policy page on REF 2029.
We are committed to gathering input on PCE with a broad and inclusive approach and encourage all stakeholders to make the most of these opportunities to engage on this important issue for the research sector. We are also committed to ensuring we find ways to balance minimising burden on the sector with providing ongoing opportunities for learning and input.
