How to download the FTE figures for REF 2021

As part of the survey of submission you’ll need to know the FTE figures for REF 2021. These are available on the REF 2021 website where you can download them to a spreadsheet.

How to view and download the FTE figures

Open the REF 2021 website
Click on Results and submissions

Click on Higher education institution (HEI), in the View REF results section

Use the search box or the tick list to find and select your HEI
Click on Apply selected filters

You will now see the results and submissions information for the selected HEI
Click on Download all REF results data (spreadsheet), (in the top right-hand corner of the screen). This will create a spreadsheet containing the FTE information for 2021. Use this information to help you answer the survey questions
